Tonight is the first meeting of Homebrew Website Club Baltimore for 2019! My goal for this evening is to write this post updating on how I did for my year-end commitments and some thoughts on what’s to come.
In part one of this series, I outlined my recent motivations for leveling up my HTML/CSS layout skills as I prepare for a site redesign. This post highlights layouts 4 through 7 and contains screenshots and brief process overviews.
Last Saturday (June 23, 2018) I decided to start actively practicing my UI/layout skills. I’ve been working on a site redesign as I migrate to Gatsby and I wanted to use this period to level up my CSS skills before deciding on a new look. I’ve used CSS Grid and Flexbox here and there over the last year, but I wanted to become more fluent. As this coincided with a desire to redesign my site, I figured it was a good time to dive in.
The Past Few Weeks Well, I’ve fallen out of sync of updating and I’m now feeling the pains of having to recall everything I’ve worked on since my update 16 (!) days ago.
Last Two Weeks After the last Homebrew Website Club Baltimore meetup I said that I was going to make sure to get back on track for documenting my learning every few days.
